Is Hyundai coming after Toyota in car sales?

For the first time in automotive history, the Hyundai Sonata automobile has made the top 10 list of autombiles to watch for 2011. I have not driven one, but I plan on doing so. I especially like what I see in the Hyundai Gensis Coupe. Nice styling, good interior and the price is right. But, what about performance and reliability? Has the Hyundai proven itself to be worthy of the number 10 ranking? Question: Will Hyundai automobiles ever take over the number best-selling car in America? Has the Hyundai-Toyota war just begun?
