What do these recurring dreams mean?

I had nightmares about serial killers 2 days in a row. The details of dreams were pretty different.

In the first dream, I was taking a guided hike in the woods at night, and the group got attacked by a killer, who used his victims to feed to this fat guy who sat in stuff that looked like oatmeal. The fat guy ended up dead, and no other people were killed, but his “henchman,” who fed him, escaped.

In the second dream, my sister and I were running down what seemed like endless flights of stairs through a creepy old house from this crazy person who turned people into dolls, taxidermy animals, and automatons. He had them all set up on the side of the stairs, and they grabbed at us as we ran down. We escaped several times, but somehow always ended up back in the house. I woke up before I found out what happened.

After those dreams, my nights returned to normal and my dreams were like usual. Nothing is going on in my life that would make me have nightmares, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas I might not have thought of that would make me dream of serial killers. Thanks!
