What are three "invented needs" you cannot live without?

With invented needs I mean things and gadgets that manufacturers sell to us as if they are things we really need and couldn’t live without. Such as cell phones (I mean, we did fine without them 15 years ago, didn’t we?), laptops (what happened with pen and paper?) and so on.

So, I guess I’ll start then :)

Three things I can’t live without that I should be able to do fine without:

1) My cell phone (arrrrgh!)
2) My desktop PC (bleh!)
3) The Internet
