Is scurvy a real disease, or just the name for a deficiency of vitamin C?

With all the other vitamins, we just say “Oh, you have a deficiency in vitamin B12”. Is it the same thing just with a fancy word (I presume for historical reasons?) or is scurvy its own thing?
