Stabbing pain, like an ice pick, where my legs meet my groin. What is causing this?

Asked by alannabrook (17points) January 2nd, 2011

Last Christmas (2009) I received a H1N1 Flu shot. Three days later I came down with the flu, which turned into pneumonia, along with a rash that covered 75 % of my body. Then came the stabbing leg pain. I’ve seen 6 doctors and none of them know what’s wrong with me. The pain is much worse when it rains. The Doctors just want to give me narcotics and send me on my way. In fact, it was so bad yesterday that I went to the emergency room. They gave me a shot of morphine and Rx for Vicodin. I can’t stand these drugs. They don’t take the pain away and they just make me sick to my stomach. I think that my initial illness gave me arthritis and the doctors don’t believe this is the case.

Before I got the H1N1 shot, I walked two miles every day and was in great shape…..never sick with a cold or the flu. I’m only 55 and can’t imagine that I will have this “syndrome” for the rest of my life. Please, if anyone knows what’s causing this let me know who I should see for help in solving this problem.

Thanks.
