I can no longer view PDF files from mozilla, I have to download them. Is this normal?

I used to be able to open pdf files and view them in the browser. For example, the menu for a restaurant. Now, if I want to view anything in pdf format, I have to save it to my computer first and then I can view it. I don’t want to accidentally download a virus, so does anyone know how to fix this?
