Just had ankle surgery, been urinating alot, how long will this last?

As the topic say’s, I just had right ankle and I’ve been going to pee like crazy. I’m already a diabetic and my blood sugar checks good. So what’s wrong?

PS: The doctor/nurse said something about this happening and said if I DON’T pee there was something wrong.
