Where does unclaimed Lurve go?

I ran across an old question. It got a lot of comments but I had sort of forgotten about it, and had not given out any lurve. So I set about giving the people, who had bothered to give answers, their due.
Among them was ChazMaz, who got quite a few points.
I understand ChazMaz is gone.
So where does his lurve go?
Is it sort of like the estate tax? Do the mods take the points?
Or what?
BTW what ever happened to ChazMaz?
