Certain routine actions conjure specific images in my mind. Have you experienced this?

I have noticed that certain routine actions, like shaving and brushing my teeth, or painting (like a wall) cause me to think of very specific images/scenes, often street corners or landscapes from my childhood. They are always the same images/scene associated with a particular action but there is not correlation with the action. For example I always think of a specific intersection in the town where I was raised when I am shaving. But it’s not as though there was a shaving store located at that intersection. Does anyone else have these random images associated with mundane activities?
