Why do some people reply with answers completely written in a teeny weeny font?

On a 13 inch laptop, it’s too small for me to read comfortably, I would read a word or two at that size, but I’m not going to strain my eyes on any more than that, so I ignore those postings. Is that the intention, to keep the readership down to the hardcore jellies that will read it all, come what may?
