What do you use Fluther for? Do you consider it a social networking site?

On Fluther we interact with other people all the time, answering their questions and responding to their answers on our questions for example. There is a private messaging system and a chat room. I consider it to be a social networking site as well as Q&A.

What about you? Do you agree? Why or why not?

What do you get out of Fluther? Why do you come back here?

If you were to describe Fluther to someone who had no idea what it was (let’s say someone who doesn’t spend much time on the internet at all) how would you do so?

I’d appreciate as much detail as possible, please feel free to ramble about what you get from Fluther and anything else that comes to mind about social networking sites or anything.

A friend of mine is doing a journalism project on social networking sites and she doesn’t know I’m posting this but I thought it might help so I’ll show it to her if I get some good answers.
