Why does someones Lurve score matter so much?

Whenever someone reaches a certain Lurve score (10,000 or 20,000 or 30,000 ect) there is always a post congratulating them on this achievement…... And a fictional “Mansion” was created for them to move into…. Also mentioned in the “community fees” sidebar…..

Even for “low” scores they are noticed ?!? I just reached 5000 and have people messaging me “congratulating” me on this insignificant achievement…..?

Could be just me….But I really don’t understand the significance of keeping track of it….
