Do "Big" people have more taste buds?

This morning on my way home my friend was chowing down on some of my Hot Cheeto Hot Fries, and I noticed how it seemed like he savored every bite and that the next one would be better. So I said “I like how your able to enjoy food so much, I love your facial expressions when you eat. Sometimes I wonder if you can taste food better than me.” Which lead him to say, “That would be an interesting study, to see if big people have more taste buds than skinnier people.”...I’m not skinny, I’m chubby…But he’s a lot bigger than I am, and he eats a lot more than I do. What do you guys think?...I love food btw but he never fails to convince me that something tastes really good….even tho the last couple of times it wasnt as good as he put off.
