Am I having an allergic reaction to my makeup and brushes?

I have recently broken out more than I ever have before. I’m 31, but my face looks like I’m in junior high and it is not cute.

My Bare Minerals makeup has been making my sensitive face itch and burn recently, so I switched to Physician’s Formula because (I think) it doesn’t contain bismuth. I use a synthetic brush now, but it happened again.
Anyone have experience in this? The brushes are clean. Could it be the small particles? The bristles? I’m aging in reverse?
