What kind of dog do you guys think this might be?

My daughter found him in the Wal Mart parking lot. He was thin and smelled like trash and feces. He’s a cutie, not at all agressive, and smart. We’re thinking, maybe, lab and….pit maybe? (I thought I’d gotten at least a couple of different photos of him, but that’s the only one that’s clear…here’s this one, for what it’s worth.
