Looking for a solid web based content management system (WCMS)?

Hi! I need to build a site with a content management system that I can easily hand off to my “client.” I am not a developer by profession, so I need something easy to use and integrate with simple HTML pages. I have NO BUDGET (it is a school… surprised?), so I can’t hire someone to do this correctly. I have looked at LightCMS as an option, but I don’t know if this is the best of breed. Can you make a suggestion?
