If a class doesn't teach me what it says it will, is there a course of action I can take? (details)

I’m taking a religious history class in which the teacher is more than a month behind. If she keeps up this pace (and she’s shown no sign of speeding up), we will cover, at best, half the material we are supposed to for this class. I feel like this is a waste of my time and money, that she’s failing to deliver on her promise to teach us what she said she would. I’m also worried that should I take any class that says it builds on it (it’s an intro class) that I won’t be adequately prepared. Is there anything I can do about this?
