What does it mean to have a beautiful voice color or just a voice color?

I’m brand new to choir and my choir teacher told me that I have a beautiful voice color (she probably tells many others that too ha) anyways I have no idea what that means. Can someone explain to me? and how do you know what color you are or does color refer to something else?
