We have a deal! No Government shutdown! Was $38.5 Billion in budget cuts enough?

Asked by Cruiser (40449points) April 9th, 2011

At the end of the day, all sides claimed victory Republicans for the sheer size of the spending cuts and Obama and Reid for jettisoning Republican policy initiatives that would have blocked certain environmental regulations and made changes in a federal program that provides family planning services.”

Who won here? Who is the hero here at the end of the day? Boehner got the Federal Government to provide Fed paid for school vouchers for his Wash D.C. Students to attend private schools….sweet deal there but what about the rest of us?

Are happy about this turn of event? or are you skeptical that this will continue to be a political football? Did enough get done or was this a hatchet job just to avoid a shutdown.
