Would anyone be able to give me a primer on medieval humanism, please?

I have jury duty today, and am forced to miss the lecture in my Medieval Europe class on humanism. Unfortunately, I have a paper due on Wed. on the humanism of Abelard and Heloise, and the soonest my teacher can catch me up is late tomorrow afternoon. So can anyone help me out so I can be mulling over the paper in the meantime?

*Medieval humanism is not the same as modern humanism.
