Do you find you have to beg workers to do a job for you?

Last year a man who mows and edges yards for a living came over and we were discussing what I needed to have done. I felt very nauseated and went inside to vomit. (this is not a joke). When I recovered I went outside and he was gone. So today he was mowing up the street and I called out and asked him if he’d mow and he ignored me! I have a checkbook; does he not need or want the cash? Then another man walked by the house and I asked him if he’d mow and he said, “I don’t have time today.” What gives? Does this happen to only me? I was told that if you react negatively to a house cleaner if she breaks something she’ll never come back. I don’t get it.
