Why don't I want to sleep or eat?

I was sick recently, and have almost fully recovered at this point, except with two problems. I have not slept in over two days, and don’t feel the slightest bit drowsy. I have not eaten for over 24 hours, and don’t even feel like having a snack. At the point where I last ate, it was to see if it’d stir some hunger in me after not wanting food for 36 hrs.
While this is a rather convenient development, and I know I will NEED to do these at some point, I’m still wondering what is causing it, any ideas?
