Does having a definite vision of "The Mansion" mean that you are hooked on Fluther? Maybe even in spite of yourself?
The internet conversation clubs, like Fluther, clearly add a technologically driven, new dimension to social inter-action.
It takes a little getting used to, at least for somebody like me who is more familiar and comfortable with face to face relationships.
What I mean is, it is fun and all, but I resist taking it too seriously.
But I just noticed something that may be significant, and I would like your input.
In a recent thread welcoming a couple of nice Jellies to “The Mansion”, I realized that I actually had a mental image of “The Mansion”, or at least what I hoped it would look like.
It is alot like a place a friend of mine lives in, the guy who eats RGB M&Ms. It has all these guest rooms, like a hotel, each uniquely decorated, and this fabulous party room with a bandstand for local rock bands, and a full bar and expansive grounds with great landscaping. My Fluther mansion is bigger, and a little more gothic in design, but…
I can just SEE IT! I can mentally walk through it!
Am I hooked?
