Are the names Leah and Leila too similar to be used for siblings?

I’m having an argument with my mother over this – my favorite name is Leila (Layla). I’ve liked it ever since I heard the Eric Clapton song haha. My mom’s name is Leah (pronounced lee-uh) and I want to name one of my children after her… but I think the names might sound too similar. She doesn’t agree. What do you think?
