Spiderman the Musical - I think it's oxymoronic - what other ideas for stupid musicals can you think of?

I’ll try to find it, but a couple of years ago, when I first read of the idea to make it into a musical, I just knew that it wouldn’t work – and I explained why. It wasn’t premonition or anything, it was based on my vast and intimate knowledge of both subjects: Spidey and musicals.

There are some things that just don’t work together.

Even if you sugarcoat them (U2 music, Julie Taymor directing; she was coming off the Lion King fame) – it just won’t work… like a movie with thre best director and featuring the greastest of actors – sometimes it has the wrong chemistry.

In this case, it was doomed from the get go, imho; let’s just say my Spidey sense was tingling.
