Can you explain the fundamentals of fluther?

I kind of stumbled on fluther on line and have no mentor. Could someone explain to me what they consider:
1. the knowledge fundamentals for fluthering and establishing relationships
2. What is all the lurve competition about?
3. What is an NSFW?
4. What is all this about mansions?
5. What is it about being modded and kicked out; it seems to me there are a few who have a very short and blunt vocabulary and not all that humorous.
6. Is fluther party about the community getting all happy fingered about adding lurve to someone they want to help out?
7. Would you say fluthering is more about social networking, actual knowledge gain, understanding where others are coming from or what?
