How can I make my email better?

I got selected in a company and the case is, after my last round the HR(Human resource) of the company told me, “you have been selected and you have to wait for one and half month” also she told me she would keep me posted. Actually, waiting period is finished now and I didn’t yet receive any mail or any call from her. Then, I have decided to mail her. Do you have any suggestions, what shall I write in the mail? How shall I begin? Where should I begin from?

I can simply write
I hope you remember I got selected in the company. I have been waiting for updates and I haven’t got any. Please can you tell me the status?
What needs to be added? How can I make it more polite? How can I make it a good email?.
Please advise!
