Do allegations of warehouse employee abuse change your opinion about Amazon?

Asked by fizzbanger (2765points) September 24th, 2011

After reading this article, I realized that I had never really thought about how all those little packages magically get processed and shipped so quickly. I know this is only one warehouse, but apparently, the harsh demands and high turnover rates are pretty commonplace throughout the company. They seem to be taking advantage of the crappy economy by using and disposing of thousands of workers.

Is this just another example of a large corporation “doing what it has to do” to keep prices competitive and customers happy?

Does reading an article like this make you think twice about shopping with Amazon?
