Are you annoyed and/or disappointed when your partner does not notice your new hairstyle?

I went for a beard grooming yesterday.
He cut off about two inches.
When I came home I was surprised that my girlfriend didn’t notice the difference especially because I left a note for her in which I wrote that I would have a look to see if the barber wasn’t too busy that day for my beard cutting.
It amused me, so I asked her if she too thought it needed a cut, to which she looked at me and agreed.
Anyway, hours later, I asked her if she liked the way I looked now.
She liked it, and said she really, really hadn’t noticed, and she was surprised about it herself.
So, men, how would you feel if this happened to you?
And, girls, it surely is a myth that all women feel annoyed by such, right?!
