Is pole dancing changing? (potentially NSFW)

I’m probably clueless here, but I got a link this morning from a friend saying it was a must watch

This girl’s athleticism is impressive, her artistry is amazing… her acting like a 10-year-old in her opening act was seriously disconcerting for me.

What completely puzzles me is- with all this athleticism and artistry, why is it relegated to strip clubs? Why does it have to be shown enmeshed with sexual intent? Why can’t this kind of artistry be more enjoyed outside of the strip club? Is pole dancing actually moving away from the strip club mentality since this video looks like a contest of some sort and she’s dressed quite modestly.

I don’t have answers, just wondering what the collective knows and thinks.
