In my police car, it was time for my 30 minute lunch break. I stopped at KFC, mainly because they gave police officers half-price on their meals. As I walked in the door, the manager came up to me and said, “can you take that drunk Santa, tapped out in the corner, to jail?” I stood and thought a few minutes before I answered and said, “look, I like you guys and thanks for the half-price meals. But, it’s two days before Christmas and I will not be responsible for Santa Claus being jailed for Christmas. The news media would have a frenzy over this and no thank you”. I called a cab and he was taken home. Question: would you have arrested Santa Claus two days before Christmas?
