Who is the target market or who actually reads GQ?

I always assumed it was a mag directed towards heterosexual men, but just recently in the dentist’s office I picked up a copy and perused. Wow, it is chock full of gorgeous young men in wonderfully fashionable clothing. It was such eye candy for an old lady, I thoroughly enjoyed it. But I didn’t think it would appeal to the average male unless they are extremely fashion conscious.

So I was curious, do any of you dudes read and enjoy it? Is my perception of the magazine incorrect? Did I miss its appeal to straight males?
