How can I keep birds away from my tables & Chairs in the backyard?

We have a real problem with Indian Miner birds. They are constantly pooing on our outdoor furniture and the tiles. I’ve tried hanging CDs, tinsel, Paper mache owls, black silouettes of cats with beady eyes. I’m thinking of making scarecrows next. Does anyone have any ideas? thanks heaps if you do.
