Did any women here develop gestational diabetes and go on to have a somewhat manageable vaginal birth?

I just found out that I MAY have gestational diabetes and I am already thinking about what I can do to eat better and have a healthier pregnancy. Did you get gestational diabetes? Did that automatically mean you had a difficult birth or a c-section? I have never had high blood sugar in my life so this is all new to me.
