Does anybody know any ways to not get grounded?

I was on a social networking website, and my guardian caught me jokingly calling my best friend a bad word. My guardian said he’s going to take something away when he gets home [tonight]. Does anybody know how I can possibly get out of this grounding, or should I just “take it like a man”?
