Could electric sheep cause such problems that my phone lines would have to be blown?

I tried out electric sheep a few weeks ago and found them delightful and soothing, but wondered about any drains on computer resources or safety issues. Not long after that I began to have router outages. I discontinued use of sheep but the router outages continue. My s/o says I need to have the lines ‘blown.’ Is this so? Are the sheep the cause?

And what exactly does ‘blown’ mean anyway? A search on the web turned up this hilarious bit of info but not much else.
