Before takeoff, the stewardess had to personally ask the woman next to me to turn off her “book.” We had to wait on the tarmac, and the electronics came back on. When we were to take off a half hour later, the stewardess on the intercom asked for everyone to turn off anything with a switch, but my seatmate kept on reading. What should one do? Ignore it? Ask her politely to obey the rules? Call the stewardess?
I see this all the time with phones as well. What, if anything, should be done?
