How is the speed of your Verizon FIOS?

I recently got Verizon FIOS and I am really disappointed with the speed. Since this is fiber direct to my house and not a shared connection like cable, I thought it would be blazing fast. But it is actually half the speed I was getting from cable. Typical download speed is 300–400k/sec. Upload is supposed to be 2MB/sec but is actually around 100–200K. My 3G cell card is faster than this.
