Can someone help me identify this bird from Massachusetts?

It is a medium sized bird. About the size of a dove or pigeon. It is light brown in the front and darker on the wings. The feathers almost all have a black semi circle on them. For now this all the information I have because it’s sleeping right now, and I don’t want to disturb it. I know it’s not much, but I will update tomorrow.
