Why does my shoulder still hurt?

5 Months ago I was in car crash. I went to PT and was released and go an x-ray done no problems with my bones. But it still hurts to fully put my arm above my head. I went to the chiropractor and he popped the bones in the back into alignment and now it hurts even more… Any idea why or what could be wrong?
