Dream meaning?

I recently broke up with my young sons father. It seems like it’ll be the best for involved but I’m struggling with the new lifestyle. A few nights ago, I had a strange dream about my ex’s uncle that passed away while we were together. When his uncle was alive, he spent most of his time rigging electronics to do things most people wouldn’t think to do. In the dream, I could see his face almost like he was taunting me. He was making fuzzy pictures show up somehow on my TV of me and the baby with my ex as a very happy family. Almost making fun of the fact that we’re not but somehow also letting me know he thinks we should be. I never knew him very well and he’s not someone I really think about. Has anyone ever had a dream like this….or any insight to why I’d have such a strange dream?
