Why do people let the news get away with such manipulative language.

I was just watching Sky News, and I wonder how they keep getting away with using such sneaky language.
For example:
They said, “The queen was given flowers from well-wishers” meaning “The queen was given flowers from toddlers who don’t care who she is because they had been told to give them to her”
They talk about the UK bedroom tax, and mention “the tax critics” meaning “every single last person in the country”
This kind of language is used for more or less everything they talk about.
Why do people let them get away with it?
