Whenever I feel a certain emotion, I have a strange, physical pain in my chest. Is this normal?

Whenever I read something in a book, see something in a movie, or experience something in real life that makes me really happy and emotional, I get this really strange ache in my chest. Usually it occurs when something romantic happens, which means it’s probably just my sappy girl nature acting up. But the strange thing is that it’s not just the emotion It is actually physical pain, right where my heart is. Its so weird! Has this ever happened to you? Is this even normal?
