Is it just me, or are we all a bit more emotionally charged right now?

Maybe this is just me, but it seems like Fluther is full of way more controversial threads than usual, and we’re getting a lot more heated in our discussions. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, it’s just an interesting observation. I do find that just reading these heated discussions gets exhausting, not to mention participating in them! Does this always happen in the days after a disaster like the Boston Marathon bombings? I can’t remember – what did Fluther look like after Sandy Hook, or the Aurora, CO shootings?
