Do you think people specifically agitate other people?

So I was just in the pet store. By happenstance, my dogs are vegetarians which goes back to some kind of horrible food allergy that ultimately went unnoticed and left one of my dogs with liver disease. It is easier to feed them both the vegetarian diet, if my one dog gets any slight bit of anything, her system reacts to it, so I have to be extremely cautious.

Anyway, so I was in the pet store getting the dogs their regular vegetarian dog food diet and I plopped the bag up on the counter a girl behind me goes to the next teller looks straight at my bag of food which clearly says “vegetarian”, and she says in a loud voice to the teller, “Isn’t it just great that I’m feeding my dog bulls penis!” And then she looks at me, maybe for a reaction?

I’m just wondering why people do this type of stuff? Have you ever done it? Doesn’t it seem insensitive if they are doing what I think they are doing?

I’m just confused about it. Any opinions will help, surely we are not all that bad. :)
