How do I crush up this pill?

I have a new rx that I’m supposed to be adding to food for my cat, but it’s nearly impossible to crush. It has this plastic coating and can be split into quarters, but I can’t break it down from there. I’ve tried a pill-crusher and mortar and pestle, with no luck. Anyone here have any tips or tricks for this sort of thing? I was hoping to give it to him in tonight’s feeding.
