Is it possible to have soft human tissue freeze dried and bronzed?

Asked by gondwanalon (22896points) July 13th, 2013

In the movie “Ted” a guy was showing off his wealth and power to another guy by pointing to a small round bronze figure and stated, “That is Lance Armstrong’s nut, freeze dried and bronzed”.

I wonder if that really can be done?

Last Tuesday (7~9~13) I had Minimaze surgical procedure which includes removing my heart’s “left atrial appendage”. When I was recovering in ICU my cardiologist visited me and gave me my left atrial appendage in a jar of formalin. I did not ask for nor expect to get it. But it is pretty cool looking. It’s bigger than I thought and about the size of two human testicles.

I’m still in the hospital and may be discharged tomorrow (7~14~13). Also I’m so bored and drugged and wondering:

So can it be done? Do you know of a company that can freeze dry and bronze my heart’s left atrial appendage?
