Has anything made you laugh/cry for humanity lately?

Mine: Flowery descriptions of wine/beer migrate to medicinal marijuana.

I sort of sporfled my drink into my nose when I read this. But at the same time, it made me sad. Supposedly, evolution isn’t shaping us the same way anymore, and we’re becoming more physically feeble, but culturally smart.

If that’s the case, an article like this is a major sign of the times. I’m glad our hard-won cultural intelligence is going to good use.

It would also make an amazing sketch on Portlandia (because of course, the article came from Oregon, the world capitol of wimpy cultural smartness). I would watch on my laptop, while enjoying the devil’s trinity (weed, red wine, and chocolate ice cream), and enjoying the irony.
