Is the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King celebrated internationally?

Asked by Strauss (23634points) August 28th, 2013

Fifty years ago today, during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963, Dr. King gave his iconic I Have a Dream speech. During the days and weeks leading up to the commemoration, I heard comparisons to the likes of Mohandas Ghandi, Nelson Mandela and Bishop Desmond Tutu. To say he is greatly admired in the US is an understatement; is he as greatly admired in other countries and cultures?
