Is there a correlation between transsexualism and autism?

Although I’ve never been tested for either one, I am pretty sure I have some sort of high functioning social autism and am also transgender or transsexual. I just wanted to know from the tg/ts community if this is something that goes hand and hand? From what I read trans people have above average IQ’s. This tells me that there is probably some sort of high functioning autism spectrum going on in there brains.
